Accounts Assistant Cashbook

This job is all about reconciliation and bank statement processing, ensuring the accurate and timely administration/completion of the process in line with company policies and procedures.
Being able to act responsibly and work confidentially are essential requirements for this role and the successful applicant will need to be able to work effectively both independently and in a team.
Here is what your tasks will look like:
Bank reconciliations and preparation and completion of monthly cashbook including:
- Completing daily and monthly reconciliation of all Bank receipts and payments.
- Liaising with branches to ensure that all required information is sent back to Head Office and chasing up missing paperwork as required.
- Reconciliation and balancing of monthly intersystem payments across accounting systems.
- Assistance to branches to help them identify till mistakes.
- Reconciliation of branch takings to cash/cheque/card payments received.
- Reconciliation of shop takings to retail ledger.
- Preparing and posting journals into accounting system.
- Other similar duties within the department as and when required.
- Reconciliation of shop takings to retail ledger.

- Experience of working toward strict deadlines.
- Excel and Microsoft package.

Your working hours and days
This role is a full time permanent role. We have a 39 hour week (40 weeks in the summer, 38 in the winter) with no weekend work. Most of our team work 8:30am – 5pm with 30 minute lunch but we have some flexibility around this.
What is my working location
We are based in the lovely area of Altrincham, in a modern office with free parking and in walking distance of local shops. This role is a hybrid role and we are happy for you to work from home with a minimum of 2/3 days in the office.
